Promoting a User to a Manager

Promoting a User to Manager status in Clarity365 gives that user more privileges in the system than that of an Extra User. Managers will be able to authorise, but not settle, the expenses and timesheets of users set within their department, providing another level of authorisation to help minimise risk of error within the system.

Promoting a user to a manager:

1. Go to Main Navigation > User Management > User Setup

2. Find the user you want to promote and click the Edit icon

3. Click the User Details tab

4. Scroll down to the Manage Role sub section located at the bottom of the page

5. Choose the Manager status for the user from the drop down menu to change the user privileges

6. Click Save to submit this change to the Clarity365 system and allow your manager to take over their department

 

Please note that the owner is still required to settle payment of expenses and timesheets of users. Managers are for authorising the expenses and timesheets of users within their specific department to streamline the authorisation process for the owner.
