Adding an item to the inventory

The inventory is a summary of all the goods and/or services that your company currently supplies and how much stock you have regarding your goods and/or services. To manage your inventory, create new categories and products/services within the categories as necessary.

 

Adding a New Product/Service Category to the Inventory:

1. Go to Main Navigation > Sales Management > Inventory

2. Click the New Product/ Service Category tab

3. Enter the category type as either products or services

4. Enter the name of the new category

5. Click Save to submit this to Clarity365

 

Adding a New Product/Service to the Inventory:

1. Go to Main Navigation > Sales Management > Inventory

2. Click the New Product/ Service tab

3. Choose either products or services as the category type

4. Select the category

5. Enter a short description of the item

6. Add an item code

7. Enter the cost price per unit and net sale price

8. Choose a VAT rate and tick the box next to Count for Stock if you want to include the product in your rates. If not, skip to 10

9. Choose the stock movement type and enter a quantity

10. Add a comment and image of the item

11. Click Save to submit this to Clarity365
